Barn Burning (sisters)

Sarty's two sisters are fat like cows, ugly and very, very lazy. They always wear fancy dresses with flashy colours and ribbons. They talk a lot with each other instead of working or helping their mother with the household. The things which happen in their family make no difference to them.

For the plot the two sisters are not relevant. Maybe W. Falkner put them in the story to make it a bit more realistic and to demonstrate the standing of the women at that time.--Marmorsaft 18:44, 23. Jan. 2007 (CET)
