Parable (Literature)

A Parable means in the Literature a analogy (Gleichnis). Famous parables are for example the "Ringparabel" (Gotthold Ephraim Lessing : "Nathan der Weiße") and the novel "The Old Man and the Sea" by Ernest Hemingway. A Parable is different from a Fable in whose in general only animals can be found.
