Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald was born at the 24th September 1896 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He married Zelda Sayre in 1920 – in the same year his first novel “This Side of Paradise” was successful published. The now following extravagant life should Fitzgerald bring health-problems in the next time.

One year later, the daughter Frances Scott was born. In 1922 the next novel – “The Beautiful and Damned” – was published. Charged through debts of the too luxurious and extravagant Lifestyle, Fitzgerald needs success with his third novel. In 1925, “The Great Gatsby” was published. Only one year later “The Great Gatsby” was filmed the first time. The following time is coined by married-problems; Fitzgerald as well as Zelda have problems with alcohol.

F. Scott Fitzgerald met the Writer Ernest Hemingway in 1925 – since them they both interconnect a deep friendship.

Francis Scott Fitzgerald died at the 21st December 1940 in Hollywood, California, in the age of 44. Only eight years later, Zelda died in a fire near New York. The collective gravestone of Zelda and Francis has the last sentence of “The Great Gatsby” on it.
