"Meeting" is a poem by Harold Pinter, written in 2002. Similar to the poem After Lunch and Cancer Cells, Pinter underlines several times the death. Another point is the opposite to the death: "a soft heartbeat" where two lovers "cry and (...) kiss" - "for the first and the last time". Also like the poem Cancer Cells, Pinter wrote this poem against the background of his cancer diagnosis.
